#52 Zaka Presents My Journey Christopher Sherman IV
Christopher Sherman IV was never shy to use his voice and to be a leader. He founded an organization in college, The Distinguished Gentlemen, that promoted diversity on campus. Organization was founded to change the misconception about young minorities. Organization is still carrying the goal of helping inner-city children continue their education.Â
Chris is still carrying the torch of leadership in the corporate world either working at General Electric, Jet Blue and now Bank of America but also his community where he mentors several underrepresented minorities who play youth football. He joins us to document the ups and downs growing up in the Bronx after his parents from Jamaica. Chris stresses the biggest lessons he learned working in Corporate America that college did not prepare him for.
Chris has over 20 years of extensive and diverse Accounting/Financial experience in various industries, with expertise in controllership, accounting systems development, financial reporting and regulatory reporting. He currently is the VP Global Liquidity Management Sr. Analyst, Global Liquidity Risk Management at Bank of America where his division tests the accuracy and fit for use of data impacting liquidity reporting.
